The Story
Juhi was subjected to repeated harassment and abuse over dowry demands after her husband’s family claimed they expected ₹20 lakh in dowry but received only ₹8 lakh at the time of marriage. The violence escalated into a horrific attack when her father-in-law assaulted her with a khukri, inflicting severe injuries to her left wrist, two fingers of her right hand, and deep wounds to her head and neck. The attack has left Juhi physically and emotionally traumatized, requiring urgent surgeries, long-term rehabilitation, medical care, and support to safely rebuild her life.
